**Washington, D.C.** – The Social Security Administration (SSA) announced that the second round of April Social Security payments will be deposited on Tuesday, April 16th, 2025. This payment covers retirees born between the 11th and 20th of any month and includes the 2.5% Cost-of-Living Adjustment (COLA) implemented earlier this year.
This COLA increase aims to help retirees cope with rising inflation. No action is required from beneficiaries to receive the adjusted amount. Payment amounts vary depending on retirement age and earnings history, ranging from a maximum of $2,831 for those retiring at 62 to a maximum of $5,108 for those retiring at 70.
The April 16th payment follows the first April disbursement on April 9th, which went to retirees born between the 1st and 10th. The final April payment will be issued on April 23rd for those born between the 21st and 31st. All April payments include the 2.5% COLA.
In addition to the COLA, the SSA also noted other 2025 updates, including an increase in the maximum taxable earnings limit to $176,100 and ongoing adjustments to the full retirement age. The SSA encourages beneficiaries to stay informed about payment schedules and policy changes.
