**Hyderabad, India** – Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party leader Pawan Kalyan returned to Hyderabad late Saturday night with his seven-year-old son, Mark Shankar, who was injured in a fire accident at a Singapore summer camp last week. Kalyan, accompanied by his wife and daughter, landed at Hyderabad International Airport.
He reported that his son is stable and recovering well, expressing gratitude for the overwhelming support received from across the globe following the incident. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Kalyan thanked leaders from various political parties, his party members, well-wishers, and the film fraternity for their prayers and concern.
Kalyan specifically acknowledged Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Prime Minister’s Office for their prompt assistance, facilitated through the Indian High Commissioner in Singapore. He highlighted the crucial support provided to his son and other children affected by the fire.
The Deputy CM’s statement also included a thank you to PM Modi for his commitment to the upliftment of Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) in Andhra Pradesh. He praised the ‘Adavi Thalli Baata’ program, a road construction initiative aimed at improving connectivity in PVTG habitations, which he was involved in inaugurating before receiving news of the accident. This project, he noted, will address long-standing transportation challenges for these communities.
