**Veeracholapuram, April 14, 2025** – Construction of a new ₹139.41 crore integrated collectorate complex in Veeracholapuram is progressing rapidly and is expected to be inaugurated by September 2025, according to Public Works Minister E.V. Velu.
Minister Velu inspected the eight-story building on Saturday. The 35.18-acre complex will house at least 40 departments, including revenue, rural development, and social welfare. The ground floor will feature public amenities such as banks, a post office, and a grievance redressal hall, with accessibility features for the differently abled. Modern facilities such as a conference room with LED lighting and CCTV cameras will also be included. The Collector’s office will be located on the third floor.
District Collector M.S. Prasanth and other senior officials were present during the inspection. The Minister expressed confidence that the project will be completed on schedule.
