Sun Apr 13 01:00:00 UTC 2025: ## MLA Accuses Former TTD Chairman of Insulting Hindu Sentiments

**Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh:** Madakasira MLA and TTD board member M.S. Raju has strongly condemned former TTD chairman Bhuman Karunakar Reddy for allegedly making derogatory remarks about Tirumala. Raju accused Reddy of hurting the sentiments of Hindu devotees by claiming that Tirumala is just a black rock and that it could be uprooted.

Raju, speaking to reporters on Saturday, further accused Reddy of misusing his position as TTD chairman, alleging financial irregularities and the unlawful sale of tickets during his tenure. He also criticized Reddy for spreading false information about the alleged deaths of over 100 cows at the TTD goshala. Raju challenged Reddy to provide proof of these claims, offering his resignation from both his MLA post and TTD board membership if the allegations are substantiated. He conversely demanded Reddy’s resignation if he fails to provide proof.

Raju attributed Reddy’s actions to a deliberate attempt to undermine the TTD’s sanctity and suggested a political conspiracy fueled by the recent successful celebration of Sita Rama Kalyanam at One Town. He also stated that he would file a police complaint against Reddy in Tirumala for his alleged actions.

Raju highlighted the TTD’s efforts to improve the goshala’s conditions, emphasizing the presence of 266 staff members dedicated to the well-being of the cows and the positive feedback received from devotees who recently visited the facility. He challenged Reddy to a public debate on the issue. He also defended Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, asserting his respect for all religions.
