TIRUPATI, Andhra Pradesh – Anna Lezhneva, wife of Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, will visit Tirumala on Sunday to offer prayers at the Tirumala Venkateswara Swamy Temple. Her visit follows the recovery of her son, Mark Shankar Pavanovich, who was injured in a fire at a cooking school in Singapore on April 8th.
Mark Shankar, a student at the Tomato Cooking School in Singapore’s Central Business District, was among several students injured in the blaze. He suffered burns and breathing difficulties. Pawan Kalyan immediately flew to Singapore with family members to be with his son, who received treatment at a Singapore hospital. Both mother and son have since returned to India.
Following Mark Shankar’s recovery and discharge from the hospital, Anna Lezhneva will fulfill a vow made to Lord Venkateswara. She will offer her prayers and present hair offerings to the deity on Monday morning. Pawan Kalyan has expressed gratitude to everyone who offered prayers and support during this difficult time, specifically thanking the Singapore government and the individuals who rescued his son. He also expressed his appreciation for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s swift response to the situation.
