**Kannur, Kerala, April 13, 2025** – A school bus carrying students and staff of Koyyam Markus School overturned on Saturday evening, resulting in injuries to approximately 20 people. The accident occurred around 8:30 p.m. at a bend in Koyyam, Chengalayi panchayat, Kannur.
The bus, carrying 33 passengers including hostel students, was traveling to a teacher’s son’s wedding reception when it overturned, ultimately hitting a tree. While several passengers sustained bruises and minor injuries, police reported that no one suffered serious injuries. The Sreekandapuram police are investigating the incident.
