**SARI, MAZANDARAN –** Mazandaran province is expected to experience a week of rain and significantly cooler temperatures, according to Mohsen Gholampour, a meteorologist at the Mazandaran Meteorological Department.
Gholampour stated that the western highlands will see cloudy and foggy conditions today and tomorrow, with occasional heavy rain and thunderstorms. Other areas will experience scattered showers. A stronger cold weather system is expected to arrive on Tuesday evening, bringing widespread rain and wind through Friday. The highlands are expected to see stronger winds and heavier rainfall.
The highest rainfall in the past 24 hours was recorded in Khoshkedaran, Tonekabon (26 mm) and Jorband, Nur (17 mm). The sea is currently experiencing moderate waves.
