**Madurai, April 12, 2025** – The water level in the Mullaperiyar dam currently stands at 113.90 feet, below the permissible limit of 142 feet, according to the latest figures released today. Inflow and outflow both registered at 105 cusecs. The Vaigai dam level is at 56.89 feet (maximum 71 feet), with no inflow and an outflow of 422 cusecs. Combined storage in the Periyar system is 2,143.14 mcft. Light rainfall was recorded in the region, with Kodaikanal receiving the highest amount at 11.6 mm in the 24 hours ending Saturday at 6 a.m. Other areas reported rainfall ranging from 1.8 mm (Thekkadi) to 10 mm (Sothupparai dam).
