**SHIVAMOGGA, April 12, 2025** – Shivamogga city experienced heavy rainfall accompanied by strong winds on Saturday evening, causing widespread disruption. The sudden downpour, while offering relief from the intense heat, led to flooded roads and traffic congestion. Motorists sought refuge from the torrential rain and lightning strikes, while street vendors struggled to protect their wares. Numerous trees and coconut fronds fell across the city, further obstructing roads, with the B.H. Road particularly affected by flooding.
Similar weather conditions impacted parts of Hassan district, with moderate to heavy rainfall reported and trees falling in Uttara Badavane. A hailstorm was even reported in Malali village, Holenarasipur taluk. The downpour disrupted traffic in Hassan city.
