**Los Angeles, CA** – The Los Angeles Zoo announced today a new partnership with iconic Los Angeles hot dog stand, Pink’s Hot Dogs. A new Pink’s location, adjacent to the zoo’s Cape Vulture Plaza, will open its doors to the public this Friday, April 11th.
This collaboration brings a taste of L.A. history to the zoo’s over 1.5 million annual visitors. Zoo Director and CEO Denise Verret stated that the partnership perfectly complements the zoo’s uniquely Los Angeles character, aligning two deeply rooted local institutions.
Pink’s, established in 1939, is known for its extensive menu of hot dogs and hamburgers, many named after famous celebrities who have frequented the stand. The legendary Betty White, a supporter of the Los Angeles Zoo, even had a hot dog named in her honor.
Richard Pink, owner of Pink’s Hot Dogs, emphasized the significance of this location, highlighting that the zoo is a cherished community institution, making it a perfect fit for their brand. The new stand will offer Pink’s classic menu items, including the chili dog, the Guadalajara Dog, and the Betty White Dog.
The new Pink’s at the Los Angeles Zoo (5333 Zoo Drive, Griffith Park) will open alongside the zoo’s regular operating hours. For more information, visit lazoo.org and pinkshollywood.com.
