**Neyveli, Tamil Nadu, April 12, 2025** – Neyveli Lignite Corporation India Limited (NLCIL) marked the 16th Public Sector Day on Thursday with a flag-hoisting ceremony and a positive performance review. Chairman-cum-Managing Director Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, along with other directors and senior officials, participated in the event.
Mr. Motupalli highlighted the significant growth of Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) in India, noting an increase from just five in the first five-year plan to over 400 today. He also praised NLCIL’s outstanding performance across all metrics during the 2024-25 fiscal year. The event underscored the contributions of PSUs to the Indian economy.
