**Nagpur, Maharashtra, April 12, 2025** – The death toll from a Friday evening explosion at an aluminum products manufacturing factory in Nagpur, Maharashtra, has risen to five. Two critically injured workers succumbed to their burn injuries early Saturday morning, bringing the total fatalities to five, police confirmed.
The blast occurred at 7 p.m. on April 11th at MMP Aluminium Industries in the Umred MIDC area of Nagpur district. Three workers were found dead at the scene after the fire was extinguished, while two others died later at Nagpur Government Medical College and Hospital. Five additional injured workers remain hospitalized. All of the deceased were between 20 and 25 years old and residents of Nagpur district. An investigation into the cause of the explosion is underway.
