**Gui Zhou, China** – China has once again demonstrated its prowess in mega-construction projects with the completion of the Huajiang Grand Canyon Bridge, set to open in June 2025. Located in the Guizhou province, this remarkable structure boasts a height of 2050 feet, surpassing all other bridges globally and earning it the title of world’s tallest.

Spanning two miles across the Beipan River, the bridge took only three years to construct, starting in 2022. The project cost approximately 2400 crore Indian rupees (280 million pounds). This impressive feat of engineering is not only taller than the Eiffel Tower by 200 meters but also three times heavier.

Authorities claim the bridge will drastically reduce travel times, cutting a one-hour journey down to a single minute. Videos showcasing the bridge’s breathtaking scale and location within a deep canyon have gone viral on social media, highlighting its impressive design and engineering. Beyond its engineering marvel, the bridge is expected to boost tourism and improve transportation in the rural region.

The completion of the Huajiang Grand Canyon Bridge underscores China’s dominance in bridge construction; nearly half of the world’s 100 tallest bridges are located within the country.
