**New York, NY** – The NYPD is searching for a suspect accused of engaging in sexual acts with the corpse of a homeless man on a southbound R train in Lower Manhattan. The incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 10th, near the Whitehall Street subway station.
Police report that the suspect, who remains unidentified, allegedly performed sexual acts on the deceased man, who is believed to have died of natural causes prior to the incident. The suspect is not believed to have known the victim.
Security footage shows the suspect boarding the train approximately three hours after the victim. The suspect is described as wearing a blue baseball cap, a black hooded jacket, a yellow hooded sweatshirt, jeans, and red and white sneakers. He was carrying a backpack. The suspect is seen engaging in the alleged acts with the deceased around 11:45 p.m. before exiting the train at approximately 12:08 a.m.
