**Hyderabad, April 11, 2025** – Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy announced plans to erect a large statue of social reformer Mahatma Jyotirao Phule on Necklace Road in Hyderabad. The statue will honor Phule’s contributions to women’s education and the upliftment of marginalized communities.
CM Reddy inspected the proposed site on Friday, instructing officials to conduct a survey and submit a comprehensive plan that addresses potential traffic and logistical issues. He was accompanied by several dignitaries, including the Deputy Chief Minister and other government officials.
Earlier in the day, the Chief Minister, along with other officials and leaders, paid tributes at a statue of Phule in Amberpet, commemorating the social reformer’s birth anniversary.
