**Puducherry, April 11, 2025** – Chief Minister N. Rangasamy has called on engineering graduates to embrace entrepreneurship and become job providers rather than job seekers. Addressing over 900 students at the 25th anniversary celebrations of Sri Manakula Vinayagar Engineering College, where he distributed appointment letters, Mr. Rangasamy urged each student to aim to create a company employing at least 10 people.
He highlighted the concerning trend of B.Tech graduates accepting even government clerical positions, emphasizing the need for a greater focus on starting new ventures. This, he stated, is crucial for national growth and job creation.
The event also featured guest speaker K. Sendhil Naathan, Managing Director of TANFAC, who stressed the importance of developing strong technical and communication skills to meet future industry demands. College officials detailed the institution’s infrastructure, training programs, and international certifications. The event concluded with calls for students to cultivate versatility and teamwork skills.
