**COIMBATORE, April 11, 2025** – Coimbatore City Police have arrested A. Bharathiraja, 47, for allegedly defrauding 46 job aspirants out of ₹46 lakh. Bharathiraja, owner of Infinity Travels and Associates, promised employment in Singapore. The agency collected ₹1 lakh from each applicant as a processing fee, providing fake appointment letters. The scam was uncovered when a suspicious applicant demanded a refund, leading to a police investigation. Authorities seized ₹6.40 lakh from Bharathiraja’s office and are searching for another suspect, Senthil. The incident highlights a growing concern regarding fraudulent job placement agencies targeting vulnerable individuals seeking overseas employment.
