ANANTAPUR, Andhra Pradesh (Andhra Jyothi) – The five-day Sri Rama Navami Brahmotsavams at the Kashi Visweswara Kodanda Rama Temple in Anantapur concluded with a grand procession featuring Lord Rama on his Garuda Vahana (vehicle). The event, held on Thursday, April 10th, 2025, saw Lord Rama, adorned as Venkateswara Swamy, processioning through the town on a special chariot designed as Garuda. Earlier in the day, the temple witnessed various abhisheka ceremonies and Sahasranamaarchana for the main idols of Sita and Rama. In the evening, a special Dasahara ritual was performed. The event was attended by temple officials, including EO Shobha, and numerous devotees.
**Sita Rama Kalyanam Planned in Singanamala**
Meanwhile, in Singanamala, villagers announced plans for a Sita Rama Kalyanam (divine wedding ceremony) on Friday, April 11th, 2025. The ceremony, to be held at the renowned Singanamala Atma Sita Rama Swamy Temple, will take place at 8:30 PM, coinciding with the Tula lagna. MLA Bandaru Sravani Sri’s family is expected to offer silk clothes and pearl garlands to the divine couple. Villagers are anticipating a large turnout of devotees.
