**Chennai, April 11, 2025** – Following the removal of DMK leader K. Ponmudy from his post as party deputy general secretary, AMMK founder T.T.V. Dhinakaran is demanding his dismissal from the Tamil Nadu cabinet. Dhinakaran condemned Ponmudy’s “indecent remarks” about women, calling them condemnable and urging Chief Minister M.K. Stalin to remove him from his ministerial position.
In a social media post, Dhinakaran argued that the Chief Minister’s previous inaction regarding other controversial comments made by Ponmudy emboldened him to repeat such behavior. He further called on the DMK president to instruct party members to treat women with respect and dignity. This follows the earlier announcement of Ponmudy’s removal from his party post.
