NEW DELHI, April 12, 2025 – Delhi’s Public Works Department Minister, Parvesh Sahib Singh, announced a vigilance inquiry into the construction of government schools built during the Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) tenure. The inquiry follows complaints of waterlogging and leakages in several schools in the Palam area.
Minister Singh stated that a school principal reported “flood-like” conditions within the school building. The investigation will examine tender awards, maintenance contracts, and other aspects of the construction work.
The AAP responded to the announcement, stating that numerous previous inquiries have yielded no results and urged the government to focus on improving school infrastructure instead of launching further investigations.
