**Kozhikode, Kerala – April 11, 2025** – Two civil police officers (CPOs) were injured in a knife attack during an arrest in Karassery near Mukkom, Kozhikode, on Thursday. The officers, identified as Shalu and Noufal, were attempting to apprehend a suspect, Arshad, in a vehicle theft case when they were attacked at his home.
Both officers sustained hand injuries and were admitted to a private hospital in Mukkom. A third CPO narrowly escaped injury during the incident. The suspect, Arshad, is now in police custody. An investigation into the attack is underway.
