HYDERABAD, INDIA – The Telangana state government has announced a subsidy program to help beneficiaries of the Rajiv Yuva Vikasam scheme purchase agricultural machinery. The Department of Agriculture has been instructed to submit proposals for eligible equipment, with a list already submitted to the government.
The approved list includes a range of equipment such as drones, small tractors, rotavators, paddy bailers, cotton shredders, boom sprayers, seed-fertilizer drills, bund formers, disc harrows, power weeders, battery-operated sprayers, auto-operated plows, and mulching machines.
BC Corporation MD Mallayya Battu stated that the inclusion of these machines in the Rajiv Yuva Vikasam scheme is in response to the growing need for mechanization in the agricultural sector. Furthermore, the age limit for beneficiaries has been extended to 60 years to broaden access to the program.
