Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh – April 10, 2025 – A senior leader of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), Lavu Sri Krishna Devarayalu, has written to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, demanding an investigation into the actions of former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. Devarayalu alleges that Reddy’s recent statements, made during a visit to Sri Sathya Sai district, are intended to incite unrest and undermine public trust in democratic institutions.

Devarayalu claims Reddy’s allegations against the state government and constitutional bodies lack credible evidence. He asserts that these remarks, made in a sensitive political climate, could disrupt public order. He further accuses Reddy, citing past CBI charges and Enforcement Directorate complaints related to money laundering and alleged quid pro quo investments, of attempting to deflect attention from his own alleged wrongdoings.

The TDP leader contends that Reddy’s actions are part of a pattern of provocative speeches and false propaganda designed to destabilize the state. He expressed concern over the potential erosion of public confidence in lawful authorities and increased political polarization as a result. Devarayalu urged Shah to take appropriate action to uphold the rule of law.
