**Mumbai, India** – The SBI Foundation, the CSR arm of the State Bank of India Group, announced today the opening of applications for the 13th batch of its prestigious SBI Youth for India Fellowship. This 13-month paid fellowship offers young Indian and South Asian graduates and professionals the chance to contribute to sustainable development in rural India.
The program, open to citizens of India, Nepal, Bhutan, and Overseas Citizens of India aged 21-32, focuses on impactful projects across 12 thematic areas, including education, healthcare, rural livelihoods, environmental sustainability, women’s empowerment, and technology. Fellows will work closely with 13 leading partner NGOs across the country, gaining valuable experience while making a tangible difference in rural communities.
Sanjay Prakash, Managing Director & CEO of SBI Foundation, emphasized the Fellowship’s importance in nation-building, stating that it aligns with the vision of a “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India) by empowering young leaders to drive transformative change. He highlighted the program’s benefits, including community development contributions and the development of crucial leadership and problem-solving skills.
The deadline for applications is April 30, 2025. Interested applicants can submit their applications online at apply.youthforindia.org. Since its launch in 2011, the Fellowship has supported over 640 individuals, positively impacting more than 1.5 lakh lives across 250 villages in 20 states.
