Wed Apr 09 18:50:04 UTC 2025: ## India and Sweden Collaborate on Cleantech Solutions at 13th Annual Innovations Accelerator Workshop
**Chennai, April 10, 2025** – Eleven innovative Swedish companies showcased their clean technologies at the 13th annual India-Sweden Innovations’ Accelerator (ISIA) workshop in Chennai on Wednesday. The event, part of a larger program running from April 7th-15th, aims to foster collaboration between Swedish cleantech firms and Indian industry stakeholders.
The workshop featured presentations on green energy, sustainable materials, water conservation, resource efficiency, and energy management. The ISIA program, supported by the Swedish Energy Agency and partnered with Business Sweden and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), has introduced over 70 Swedish cleantech companies to India since 2012, resulting in over 280 projects and seven local subsidiaries.
Speakers highlighted the importance of resource efficiency, renewable energy, and energy-efficient technologies in addressing climate change. Mr. S N Eisenhower, Past Chairman of CII Tamil Nadu, emphasized the urgency of adopting these solutions. Arun Vasu, Honorary Consul of Sweden, lauded the collaboration’s role in driving sustainable growth and climate-neutral development. Sara Persson, Senior Business Developer at the Swedish Energy Agency, recounted the program’s history and successes. The program is seen as a significant contribution to India’s “Make in India” and “Clean India” initiatives.
