Thu Apr 10 06:10:00 UTC 2025: ## Telugu Film “Jack” Bombs at the Box Office: Critics Slam Weak Script and Chemistry

**Hyderabad, India** – Siddhu Jonnalagadda’s much-anticipated action film, *Jack*, has opened to scathing reviews, with critics citing a weak script, poor on-screen chemistry between the leads, and lackluster music as major flaws. The film, directed by Bommarillu Bhaskar, follows the journey of an ambitious RAW agent seeking revenge after a personal tragedy. While the premise holds potential, critics agree that the execution falls drastically short.

Siddhu Jonnalagadda, despite delivering expected performances in comedic and action sequences, failed to portray the emotional depth required for the role, particularly in scenes dealing with his character’s tragic past. His co-star, Vaishnavi Chaitanya, is also criticized for lacking chemistry with Jonnalagadda, making their romantic subplot awkward and unconvincing.

The film’s storyline, a rather generic RAW agent mission, is described as outdated and unengaging. Director Bhaskar’s failure to inject freshness into the narrative and create a believable love story further contributes to the film’s shortcomings. The second half, particularly a mission set in Nepal, is deemed especially weak. The inclusion of a forced and unnecessary dialogue about sex between the lead characters also draws criticism.

While the supporting cast, featuring Prakash Raj, Naresh, and others, delivers expected performances, the film’s technical aspects also disappoint. The music, by Achu Rajamani, is widely panned, and the editing is deemed lackluster. Despite decent production values, the film’s overall failure is attributed to the weak script and direction.

*Jack*, which arrives after Jonnalagadda’s successful *DJ Tillu* and *Tillu Square*, is considered a significant setback for the actor and director. Reviewers unanimously advise audiences to avoid this “forgettable outing” in theaters.
