Wed Apr 09 14:54:22 UTC 2025: ## Air India Passenger Banned After Urinating on Fellow Passenger During Delhi-Bangkok Flight

**BANGKOK, THAILAND** – A 24-year-old Indian national, Tushar Masand, has been banned from flying Air India for 30 days after allegedly urinating on a fellow passenger during a flight from Delhi to Bangkok. The incident, which occurred on Air India flight AI 2336, involved Masand, who was reportedly intoxicated, relieving himself on a Japanese businessman seated nearby. A second passenger also reported being affected by the incident.

While Air India confirmed an incident of unruly passenger behavior in a statement, it did not initially detail the nature of the event. Sources close to the matter have revealed that Masand, after consuming two glasses of single malt whiskey, stood up and urinated on the managing director of a company.

Air India offered assistance to the affected passenger in reporting the matter to Bangkok authorities, but this offer was declined. The airline maintains its crew followed all established procedures, including warning Masand. An independent committee will investigate the incident to determine further action against the passenger. Other airlines may also impose flying bans based on the committee’s findings.

The incident has prompted a response from India’s Civil Aviation Minister, Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu, who stated that officials will be contacting Air India to discuss the matter. This latest incident follows a string of similar occurrences in recent years involving passengers urinating on fellow flyers after consuming alcohol, highlighting ongoing concerns about unruly behavior on flights. Previous incidents include an Indian student banned by American Airlines and a separate Air India incident involving an elderly woman.
