**Hyderabad, April 10, 2025** – The Telangana Department of Intermediate Education launched “Project SERVE” on Wednesday, a new online initiative aimed at improving education quality in government junior and vocational colleges. The program, a partnership with Ek Step Foundation, addresses critical issues like faculty shortages, skill gaps, and high dropout rates.
The pilot phase will focus on two Hyderabad colleges: Government Vocational Junior College, Nampally, and Government Junior College, Chanchalguda. The initiative will utilize a shared digital platform to broadcast lessons, ensuring uninterrupted education even in colleges with limited teaching staff. The first session included communication skills training provided by Vara Prasad.
Project SERVE’s phased rollout will expand access to high-quality learning resources. In addition, all colleges have been instructed to implement a 21-day program focusing on improving student attendance, attention, respect, innovation, discipline, and dedication. According to the director of Intermediate Education, Krishna Aditya, this comprehensive approach is expected to significantly boost student success rates.
