**EDEN, VT** – Vermont State Police are investigating a double homicide after two bodies were discovered Wednesday afternoon at a residence off Route 100 in Eden. Authorities responded to a 911 call at approximately 2:09 p.m. Upon arrival, officers found two deceased individuals inside the home.
The Vermont State Police Major Crime Unit is currently leading the investigation. While details remain scarce, police have confirmed that all individuals involved in the incident have been accounted for and there is no ongoing threat to public safety. The identities of the deceased and the cause of death have not yet been released.
Local resident Michael Hayden witnessed the large emergency response while driving on Route 100. He described seeing numerous emergency vehicles, initially assuming a traffic accident had occurred.
