Nalgonda, Telangana, April 10, 2025 – The Telangana state government has launched the Rajiv Yuva Vikasam scheme to financially empower unemployed youth. The scheme aims to provide self-employment opportunities. Interested individuals have until April 14th, 2025, to apply.
The scheme offers loans ranging from ₹50,000 to ₹400,000, with subsidies ranging from 70% to 100% depending on the loan amount. 100% subsidy is available for loans up to ₹50,000, decreasing to 70% for loans between ₹200,000 and ₹400,000. Minor irrigation projects are eligible for 100% subsidy. Loans are available for various ventures including agriculture-related industries, livestock rearing, and small businesses.
The government has allocated specific unit targets and funding across various corporations: 3,644 units for SCs, 1,250 for STs, 4,294 for BCs, and 1,044 for EBCs/EWS. The deadline extension has resulted in a surge of applications; as of the reporting date, thousands of applications have been received across different corporations.
Applicants must be aged 21-60 for agriculture-related schemes and 21-55 for non-agriculture schemes. Only one applicant per family is eligible.
J. Shyam Sundar, ED of the SC Corporation, urged unemployed youth to take advantage of this opportunity. Applications can be downloaded from the government’s web portal and submitted to the respective MPDO (for rural areas) or Municipal Commissioner (for urban areas).
