Thu Apr 10 01:00:00 UTC 2025: **Andhra Pradesh Extends e-KYC Deadline for Ration Cards to April 30th**

Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh – The Andhra Pradesh government has extended the deadline for the e-KYC verification of ration cards to April 30th, 2025. This update comes as part of a mandatory five-yearly update process for ration card details, as mandated by the central government. The e-KYC process is crucial for accurately determining eligibility for government welfare schemes.

Individuals can check their e-KYC status online via the “Department of Consumer Affairs, Food and Civil Supplies, AP” website (accessible by searching “epds1” on Google). The website provides options to search by ration card number, displaying the status of each family member as “Success” or “Pending.”

Those with pending e-KYC can complete the process by visiting their local ration dealer or an MDV (mobile data vehicle) equipped with a POS machine. They will need to provide their fingerprints for verification. Children under 5 and individuals over 80 years old are exempt from this requirement.

The government emphasizes the importance of timely completion, as the e-KYC data ensures the efficient and accurate distribution of welfare benefits. New, ATM card-sized ration cards are also being rolled out.
