**Tenkasi/Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu – April 9, 2025** – Collectors across Tamil Nadu conducted mass contact programs this week, distributing significant welfare assistance and addressing public concerns.
In Sivagiri taluk, Collector A.K. Kamal Kishore handed over welfare assistance to 65 beneficiaries and inaugurated an exhibition showcasing state government schemes. He received numerous petitions requesting assistance with housing, pensions, land transfers, and disability support.
Meanwhile, in Sattankulam taluk, Thoothukudi district, Collector K. Elambahavath distributed ₹53 lakh in welfare assistance to 97 beneficiaries. Of 102 petitions received, 68 were approved on the spot. Collector Elambahavath emphasized the importance of public awareness regarding government schemes and encouraged the use of mobile hospital services and discounted medications at Chief Minister’s Pharmacies. He also highlighted loan programs for livestock purchases, benefiting women’s self-help groups and local farmers. These programs include loans of up to ₹50,000 for dairy expansion, ₹40,000 for sheep and goat purchases, and ₹15,000 for poultry units, with plans to provide loans for 2,000 cows, 10,000 sheep and goats, and 1,000 chickens.
