Wed Apr 09 14:15:32 UTC 2025: ## Southern Railway Announces Special Trains for Vishu and Good Friday Rush

**Mangaluru, April 9, 2025** – The Southern Railway will operate a special train service between Mangaluru and Thiruvananthapuram to accommodate the expected surge in passenger traffic during the Vishu and Good Friday holidays. The weekly special train will run for two round trips.

Train No. 06051 will depart Mangaluru Junction at 6:00 PM on Thursdays, April 10th and 17th, arriving in Thiruvananthapuram North at 6:35 AM the following day. The return train, No. 06052, will leave Thiruvananthapuram North at 6:40 PM on Fridays, April 11th and 18th, reaching Mangaluru Junction at 7:00 AM the next day.

Each train will consist of one 3-tier AC coach, twelve sleeper class coaches, four general second class coaches, and two luggage-cum-brake van coaches. This additional service aims to alleviate travel congestion during the peak holiday period.
