**KOCHI, April 9, 2025** – The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) announced the dismantling of a suspected international drug trafficking ring following the seizure of 50 LSD blots in Kochi. The operation, which culminated in three arrests, including a Dutch national, began on March 29th with the interception of a parcel from Mexico at the Ernakulam Foreign Post Office.
In a controlled delivery operation on April 3rd, NCB officials apprehended the intended recipient of the parcel and an associate at an apartment complex in Kadavanthra. The agency suspects the involvement of a larger international syndicate with connections spanning multiple countries and is currently investigating both domestic and international links.
This successful operation follows a recent surge in NCB activity, with the agency reporting 17 convictions in just 15 days across six different Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) cases in Assam, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Jharkhand, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu. The investigation into the Kochi LSD seizure is ongoing.
