**Madurai, April 9, 2025** – Madurai City Police Commissioner J. Loganathan returned 278 recovered mobile phones to their rightful owners on Wednesday. The phones, lost over a period of time across various police station jurisdictions, were recovered by the city’s Cybercrime police. Commissioner Loganathan stated that community service register receipts were issued to each owner. The successful retrieval was attributed to the Cybercrime unit’s diligent tracking efforts. The event coincided with a mega grievances redressal meeting where the Commissioner received 194 additional petitions. Deputy Commissioners of Police were also in attendance.
