**New Delhi, April 9, 2025** – Lieutenant-Governor V.K. Saxena has ordered the suspension of two Delhi Development Authority (DDA) officials for failing to prevent land encroachment near Pusta Road. The assistant and junior engineers, responsible for the Mayur Nature Park project, were found derelict in their duties concerning encroachment on DDA land between Mayur Vihar Phase-I and NH-24.
An FIR will be filed against the suspended officials under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and a departmental inquiry has been launched. The L-G has demanded a comprehensive report on the inquiry and subsequent actions within seven days from the DDA Vice-Chairman. He issued a stern warning that future instances of DDA land encroachment will result in stringent action, including criminal charges.
