Wed Apr 09 10:56:34 UTC 2025: ## Suspended IAS Officer to Face Kerala Chief Secretary
**Thiruvananthapuram, April 9, 2025** – Suspended Kerala IAS officer N. Prasanth will appear before Chief Secretary Sarada Muraleedharan on April 16 to address allegations against him. The hearing, scheduled for 4:30 p.m., will be digitally recorded and live-streamed, fulfilling a request made by Mr. Prasanth.
Mr. Prasanth’s suspension stems from an inquiry report alleging his involvement in the disappearance of files related to the Unnathi project and irregularities in his attendance record. He was also accused of making derogatory social media posts against Additional Chief Secretary A. Jayathilak. In a legal notice last December, Mr. Prasanth accused Mr. Jayathilak, IAS officer K. Gopalakrishnan, and Ms. Muraleedharan of fabricating documents and criminal conspiracy. He maintains his innocence, asserting that the charges are based on unreliable digital records and that his suspension lacks procedural and legal validity. He further alleges that Mr. Jayathilak and Mr. Gopalakrishnan are behind the action against him. While his suspension was extended in January, the suspension of Mr. Gopalakrishnan, who was suspended on an unrelated matter, was revoked. Mr. Prasanth has expressed gratitude for the opportunity to be heard and the granting of his request for live-streaming. However, he continues to contest the charges against him.
