**Bengaluru, April 9, 2025** – The Karnataka II PUC (Pre-University Course) results for 2024-25, announced Tuesday, revealed a significant trend: girls outperformed boys for the third consecutive year. A pass percentage of 77.88% for girls surpassed the boys’ 68.20%, a difference of 9.68%. This dominance extended to the top ranks; all state toppers across Science, Commerce, and Arts streams were female, with girls significantly outnumbering boys in the top ten positions in each stream.
Udupi district secured the highest pass percentage at 93.90%, followed by Dakshina Kannada (93.57%). Yadgir district recorded the lowest pass percentage at 48.45%, a position it has held for several years.
A remarkable 5414 students achieved a perfect score in Kannada, while thousands more secured centums in other subjects including Mathematics, Sanskrit, Biology, Statistics, and Computer Science. Over 100,000 students achieved distinctions (above 85%), highlighting the overall strong performance. Students with autism demonstrated the highest pass percentage among those with special needs, at 75.56%.
The Department of School Education and Literacy announced that the deadline for applying for scanned copies of answer sheets is April 13th, with copies available for download from April 12th to 16th. The deadline for revaluation and re-totalling applications is April 17th, with results to be announced on the department website. The revaluation committee’s decision will be final.
