Ms. Dayal’s label, “Anupamaa,” specializes in hand-printed garments using traditional Indian techniques. She discovered the alleged plagiarism last month and claims Rapsodia’s designs are exact copies. The legal notice demands an apology and a share of the profits Rapsodia earned from the allegedly copied designs. Rapsodia’s website, currently blocked in India, is cited as the source of the infringing designs.
