
Wed Apr 09 08:10:00 UTC 2025: ## Aadhaar Samvaad: New App and AI Integration Highlighted at UIDAI Stakeholders’ Meet
**New Delhi –** The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) held its third “Aadhaar Samvaad” stakeholder meeting in New Delhi on Tuesday, bringing together nearly 750 policymakers, experts, and industry leaders to discuss enhancing Aadhaar’s service delivery.
The day-long event, inaugurated by Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, focused on innovation, inclusion, and integration. Minister Vaishnaw emphasized the transformative potential of AI, likening it to a new industrial revolution, and urged stakeholders to explore AI integration with Aadhaar-based programs while upholding privacy. He highlighted Aadhaar’s face authentication as a key enabler of improved ease of living.
Speakers including MeitY Secretary Shri S Krishnan and MoSPI Secretary Dr. Saurabh Garg lauded Aadhaar’s role in accelerating inclusion, economic growth, and development. UIDAI Chairman Shri Neelkanth Mishra and CEO Shri Bhuvnesh Kumar highlighted the system’s expanding capabilities, particularly the increasingly robust face authentication system, which processes over 15 crore transactions monthly. Kumar also noted Aadhaar’s humanitarian impact in reuniting missing children with their families.
A key highlight of the meeting was the unveiling of a new Aadhaar mobile application. This app allows users greater control over data sharing, enabling digital verification and exchange via app or QR code, eliminating the need for physical documents. The app, currently in early access for event participants, will soon be publicly released.
The meeting covered various themes including adopting new technologies in Aadhaar enrolment and authentication, expanding its use for good governance, and strengthening data privacy measures. UIDAI expressed optimism that the event’s insights will lead to significant improvements in Aadhaar services and open new avenues for its application.
