**Ahmedabad, April 9 (PTI):** Sai Sudarshan’s stellar 82 propelled Gujarat Titans to a challenging 217/6 against Rajasthan Royals in an Indian Premier League (IPL) match here on Wednesday. Sudarshan’s knock, his third fifty-plus score of the season, included eight fours and three sixes off 53 balls, setting a new personal best for the season.

Jos Buttler and Shahrukh Khan contributed 36 runs each, while Rahul Tewatia provided an unbeaten 24. After captain Shubman Gill’s early dismissal for 2, Sudarshan and Buttler laid a solid foundation, adding an 80-run partnership for the second wicket. Their stand was broken by M. Ashwin’s dismissal of Buttler for 36.

While Rajasthan’s bowlers applied pressure in the middle overs, Shahrukh Khan accelerated the scoring rate with some impressive shots against Deshpande and Ashwin. He smashed a six and two fours off Ashwin in the 14th over before falling to the same bowler.

Sherfane Rutherford added a quick six before being dismissed. Sudarshan, who received a life on 81, was eventually dismissed by Deshpande, who ended with 2/53. Rashid Khan chipped in with a quickfire 12, while Tewatia’s unbeaten 24 propelled the Titans to their final score. Deshpande and Ashwin each took two wickets for Rajasthan.
