**Tehran, April 10, 2024** – The price of gold experienced a significant drop in Iran today, according to Khabaronline news agency. 18-karat gold saw a substantial decrease of 460,000 tomans per gram, settling at 7,364,000 tomans. This represents a 6.2% decline.
The price of a *misqal* (approximately 4.6 grams) of 18-karat gold fell by 1,957,000 tomans, reaching 31,934,000 tomans. 24-karat gold also decreased, dropping 612,000 tomans per gram to 9,819,000 tomans. Used gold followed suit, with a 453,000 toman decrease, closing at 7,266,000 tomans per gram. Globally, the price of gold remained at $2982 per ounce.
