**Chennai, April 8, 2025** – A 25-year-old woman, identified as Poornima, died after being run over by a MTC bus in Ambattur on Monday morning. Police reports indicate that Poornima, an employee at a private company, fell from her two-wheeler while attempting to avoid a collision with another vehicle on the Chennai-Tiruvallur High (CTH) Road. The bus, traveling behind her, then ran over her. Passersby notified authorities, and Poornima’s body was sent to a government hospital for post-mortem. The Traffic Investigation Wing (TIW), Redhills, has registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident.
