**New York, April 7, 2025** – The U.S. Supreme Court has rejected the plea by Tahawwur Rana, a Canadian national of Pakistani origin accused in the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks, to stay his extradition to India. Rana, 64, who is currently detained at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Los Angeles, had filed an emergency application for a stay in February and again in March. The court’s decision, announced on Monday, April 7th, brings an end to his legal efforts to prevent his transfer to India to face trial.
