Tue Apr 08 00:40:00 UTC 2025: ## Cruise Defies Death (Again!) in “Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning” Trailer

**Las Vegas, NV** – Tom Cruise continues to raise the bar for death-defying stunts in the upcoming “Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning,” a trailer for which debuted at CinemaCon. The footage showcases Cruise clinging to the wing of a biplane flying upside down, and later leaping from a U.S. Navy aircraft carrier into the ocean.

This installment, rumored to be Cruise’s final outing as Ethan Hunt, follows the successful but financially strained “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning” which earned over $570 million globally. Cruise himself took to the CinemaCon stage to honor director Christopher McQuarrie, highlighting the director’s role in establishing crucial safety protocols during the pandemic, enabling the film industry to resume work.

“The Final Reckoning” reunites Cruise with familiar faces including Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, and Hayley Atwell, alongside new additions like Janet McTeer, Hannah Waddingham, and Nick Offerman. McQuarrie, who also directed three previous films in the franchise, returns to direct, with a script co-written with Erik Jendresen.

The film, set for release on May 23, 2025, promises another high-octane adventure, with Cruise hinting at his excitement for another summer blockbuster: Brad Pitt’s Formula One film “F1,” directed by his “Top Gun: Maverick” collaborator, Joseph Kosinski. The two actors, Cruise revealed, even engaged in go-kart races during the filming of “Interview with the Vampire.”
