**Hyderabad, April 8, 2025** – A Telangana State Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (TGSPDCL) employee was arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday for accepting a ₹20,000 bribe. Abdul Rahaman, an Artisan Grade-IV officer in the Mangalhat division, allegedly demanded the bribe from a complainant to avoid reporting damage to an old electricity meter and to prevent penalties. The ACB recovered the bribe money and produced Rahaman before a special court. The investigation is ongoing. The ACB urged the public to report any instances of bribery through their toll-free number, WhatsApp, Facebook, or X (formerly Twitter) account, assuring confidentiality.
