**Bengaluru, April 8, 2025** – A new environmental organization, “Parisarakkagi Naavu,” is set to launch on April 12th, aiming to galvanize environmental action across Karnataka. Led by former MLA and environmentalist A.T. Ramaswamy, the initiative will bring together experts, students, citizens, and other organizations under a single banner.
Inspired by the urgent message from the 28th World Conservation Congress in Dubai – “We are in a state of emergency. Immediate action is needed to protect the environment” – Ramaswamy announced the organization’s launch at a press conference Wednesday. The organization will focus on education, environmental assessments, youth engagement, and community-based programs to raise awareness and promote environmental conservation.
Parisarakkagi Naavu boasts a strong advisory board including prominent environmentalists A.N. Yellappa Reddy, Nagesh Hegde, Bharagavi V.S., T.G. Renuka Prasad, Earth scientist Parvathi Sriram, and Sikander.
Ramaswamy issued a call to action, urging all sectors of society – including government, religious organizations, and the public – to unite in creating a more sustainable future.
