**New Delhi, April 7, 2025** – Riaz Hamidullah has arrived in New Delhi to assume his post as the new High Commissioner of Bangladesh to India. Mr. Hamidullah, a 1995 batch officer of the Bangladesh Foreign Service, previously served as Secretary (West) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Dhaka and held ambassadorial roles in Sri Lanka and the Netherlands. His experience includes postings at the SAARC Secretariat and the Bangladesh High Commission in Delhi. The position of High Commissioner had been vacant since October 2024.
