Mon Apr 07 16:50:00 UTC 2025: ## Gujarat Titans Cruise to Victory Over Struggling Sunrisers Hyderabad

**Hyderabad, India:** Gujarat Titans (GT) secured their third consecutive victory with a comprehensive seven-wicket win over Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), extending SRH’s losing streak to four matches. The match, played on a slow pitch that hampered scoring, saw GT chase down SRH’s 152/8 with ease, reaching the target in just 16.4 overs.

SRH’s batting struggled throughout the innings. Early wickets of Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma in the Powerplay (45/2) left them reeling. While Nitish Reddy (31) and Heinrich Klaasen (27) offered some resistance, a late cameo from Pat Cummins (22 off 9) was the only significant contribution as Mohammed Siraj (4/17) and R Sai Kishore (2/24) wreaked havoc.

GT’s response was anchored by a stellar partnership between Shubman Gill (61) and Washington Sundar (49), who added 90 runs for the third wicket. Sundar, playing his first match of the season, was particularly impressive, smashing two fours and two sixes in a single over during the Powerplay. The pair effectively neutralized Pat Cummins’ early bowling success, comfortably guiding GT to victory. Sherfane Rutherford also chipped in a quickfire cameo in the death overs.

The victory underlines GT’s strong form, while SRH’s continued struggles leave them with serious questions to answer before their next match against Punjab Kings on April 12th. GT will next face Rajasthan Royals on April 9th.
