**KOCHI, April 7, 2025** – Ernakulam Rural police arrested two women from Odisha on Monday for allegedly smuggling seven kilograms of ganja. Swarnalatha Digal, 29, and Geethanjali Behra, 35, were apprehended in Kalady after a tip-off led to the interception of a KSRTC Superfast bus traveling from Kozhikode to Kottarakkara. The ganja was concealed in vanity bags. The arrest was made by a special police team including the Perumbavur ASP. The suspected contraband is believed to have originated in Odisha.
